Baptism is the first step on the journey to becoming a Christian. It reflects the desire of a person or in the case of a child, their parents to live the way of Jesus. Baptism is a very serious commitment and during the service you will be asked to make promises to God about the way you will live your life, and a commitment to live as part of the church.

If you are interested in being baptised at St Peter’s and live in the parish or have a strong connection to it, please contact our Baptism Co-ordinator Sue Williams via email:

We offer baptisms as part of our family service on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 11am. The service is aimed at children with songs, actions, stories and of course the baptism itself. Our Baptism Co-ordinator, Sue Williams, will spend time with you explaining what baptism means prior to the service taking place.
