Baptism is the first step on the journey to becoming a Christian. It reflects the desire of a person or in the case of a child, their parents to live the way of Jesus. Baptism is a very serious commitment and during the service you will be asked to make promises to God about the way you will live your life, and a commitment to live as part of the church.

If you are interested in being baptised at St Peter’s and live in the parish or have a strong connection to it, please contact our Baptism Co-ordinator Sue Williams via email:

We offer baptism on the first Sunday of each month but there is a lead time of 4 – 5 months. There is no charge for baptism; if you would like music during the service we are able to provide an organist at a charge of £40. You will need to spend some time with our baptism co-ordinator exploring what baptism means before the service can take place.
